Installation:
1. Download and install Azureus (if this is a Beta/CVS update, download the latest NON BETA release) (Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download).
2. Optional: If you want to make a backup of your old Vuze version. Go to the install directory and rename Azureus2.jar to Azureus2.jar.bak
3. Extract the RAR using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus) and overwrite ALL files.
4. Run Azureus and Enjoy!

Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to version 6 (Java SE Downloads).
2. You have removed the Azureus folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
3. You have removed the Azureus folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Azureus for XP
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Azureus for Vista
4. Reinstalled Azureus using the package from Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download
5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded RAR.

Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Azureus settings.


Single Exe version (All in One)
Single Exe version doesnt need Vuze installed on your PC just download, extract and run the exe. Only java is needed to be installed.

Additional Info:
You can upgrade from a previous version seamlessly - your torrent list will not be lost.

You can still spoof other clients. Most trackers should allow Deluge or BitTornado.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I get the "Column Setup" window up? It's not got my right clicking on the torrent and it isnt in the "new place" shown in the 2nd post either, in fact the top of my program is much different. Any ideas?

zu Beginn der Wöchentlichen Betas, gab es ein Announcement wo es hieß, dass es Stable Versionen weiterhin geben wird.
Warum kommen also keine neuen Updates mehr? In der Zwischenzeit gab es schon 4.2.0.9, 4.3.0.2 und nun auch 4.3.0.4.

weil stable nicht gleich stable ist wie man an version 4.2.0.7_B01 gut sehen kann. es wird heute für die member titel user die 4.3.0.5_B01 geben. nächste woche wird die 4.3.0.5_B01 dann falls alles gut aussieht ins public verschoben.

I have a n00b question: is it safe to use the 'show as seeder' option and download the file? I'm not in a rush, so it's okay too if I change files' priorities one by one from skip to normal in a few days or so. Any suggestions or help are much appreciated.

Using "show as seeder" is only safe when the conditions described here are given:

I use Abuze Mod instead of Extreme Mod on Snow Leopard. Not as good as Extreme, but I have no other choice. It still gets the job done though.

there will be at the weekend a new version that will work for osx/leopard. the problem with osx/leopard in 4.2.0.7 is due to the vuze devs and not the mod itself.
