Hunter Killer (2018) solid submarine action, many believability problems, usa & russia are working together here, for a change

The Lion King (2019) best animated movie cgi this year, weak storytelling & voice-acting

The Upside (2017) somewhat messy but watchable remake of a good french movie (which can be found in the 2013 retrospective list)


drama:

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) watchable but not very convincing, especially regarding acting or stage performance
Green Book (2018) occasionally funny, racial propaganda to the max, black cultured virtuoso gay boss vs christian italian simpleton bully mobster sellout servant, set in a fictional over-the-top racial discrimination scenario in usa
Unplanned (2019) emotional lower budget drama that deals with the issue of legalized murder of unborn children (aka abortion), events based on a true story, this movie is an example of what hollywood and globalist mainstream media don't want you to see

I didn't watch much, from this year at least.

Joker + Avengers were cool movies.

I recently watched the Green mile+ wind river and liked them a lot.
Also, crash (1996) was a really fascinating movie as well

The only 2019 movies I was looking forward to are Hollywood and Joker. Since the former isn't mentioned in this list, I guess there is no high-quality release yet, so I'll wait until then before watching both.

Every one of this list at least worth watching once. There are more and maybe I come back for an update.

Fair enough, the thread title does say "worth watching"... but you had a similarly negative view of Joker, yet it qualified for inclusion

since all these big budget movies are hyped per default, it is a matter of picking an example of extreme hype & failure combined
