I've been thinking about the beginning of the windows 98 era... Back then, programs like TuneUp were needed and actually did make a tad faster. However, as time passed, the coders continued on making these optimization software packages. Starting with Windows 2000 there was no need to optimize anymore. No to mention Windows XP and Windows Vista which served as a milestone for windows history. Coders, loved money so... they continued with this crap. A lot of today's optimization software existed 16 years ago. Large companies such as Auslogix, TuneUp, MaceCraft Software etc. etc.
There's no reason, whatsoever to use this kind of software on today's windows OS. Not even CCleaner is worth it when you could easily delete the temp folders once a week manually.
Am I right about this? What do you think?
