Restarter Tutorial:

1. Click Run Again if you chose not to 'Make an instance of RM 'RMR' at startup', select the desired setting in RatioMaster titled 'RMR'
2. Select stop time or tick the option which automatically gets the announce time and subtracts 2 Minutes.
3. [Optional]Check ''Restart RatioMaster's stopped torrent'' if you want restarts to gain extra buffer or not,
   If you checked it, then specify the number of restarts to do
4. [Optional]Check if you want to use the 'Speed Randomizer' by adding speeds to the list. (always click "RM will do" afterward to check if everything is OK).
5. [Optional]Check if you want to close RM when the last update occurs.
6. Click Start from RMR's main window ,no need to start RatioMaster because RMR will click the start button for you

In case of startup faults,errors, etc.
you can easily roll back everything by running the:
resetSettings.exe this will delete:

• Registry Entries
• Language Folder and ALL files in it and
• Recreate the default Languages

Hii I just tried out this program for the first time today and let me just tell you, I absolutely love it!

I will be using this mainly with my two biggest enemies, What and Waffles

A quick question with this program:
So now that I have a restarter, I can put upload speed in RM to be pretty high (maybe 500 kB/s) since it will post 0 kB/s on the site.
But what about the download speed? I noticed that the finished % in RM continues to climb up while the "Download" stats resets. Should I have an extremely low download speed so it won't hit 100% finished?

I hope my question made sense! Love you all! :)

It will be a bit suspicious to upload a lot while you're downloading very slowly. I don't remember if RMeX took care of this case, but if it doesn't (and you're away from your PC), after torrent completion you'll be "exposed" until the next stop.

Hi anon! Yes, I haven't been back for too long! It feels good to see the same familiar names again :)

What would you recommend me to do? I thought that for the Waffles method, I don't want to show up as finished 100%? But since I'm using it on music sites, the albums are generally no more than a gig large. I guess I can use RM on the extremely large files (Beatles boxset, Rosetta Stone) but they are more red flagged by the admin, right?

There's nothing wrong with that if you supposedly have finished the download.

On Waffles you can fake download until completion and then as much upload as you want on comic packs.

Yes, but you need to normalize the speeds, by manually starting RM and setting speed to 0kB/s and leaving it.

I think you are right, I need to add "stop after torrent completion"

also I need to add
"continue seeding with 0kB/s speed after finishing every operation"
to continue the waffles method, currently RMR does only restarting, and after that you have to manually click start with 0kB/s to "normalize" the speed in waffles.

it was supposed to be 2.1 version, but (again) i think i'd better release a fixed version without everything in my list, something neat,fast,practical and easy and doesn't take time...i'll see how i can manage that, i will add a complete documentation, dealing with RMeX's Restarter currently is a lot of pain

That depends on the tracker.
Upload:
In waffles, people used 1MBps and I think you can go up to 2MBps on active torrents (check the waffles thread to make sure.) None of these settings will work on What.cd though, you need to use a much slower speed.
Download:
You better use your normal download speed so you won't have more download than upload (if your download speed is already high, use a lower one)

Yes, there's nothing wrong with that

How many times should I restart RM?

It depends on how much you need to fake upload, when you are finished, stop restarting and set the upload to 0, and seed for as long as you can.

If the torrent is 100% finished, the download speed you set in RM won't make any difference, it won't be reported to the tracker

This will be the initial speed, set them according to the options in RMR,
Example:
I will set high speed 1000kB/s in RM, then i use the memory reader and set other options,
I click the start button in RMR which will starts RM as well,
if you used the speed randomizer, then you should put 0kB/s as the first speed because you started with 1000kB/s.

as anon said earilier, you'll be exposed a bit until the next stop
or until I add the "stop the torrent once it hits 100%" option.

600kB/s can also be put in RM as initial speed before stopping,

I am trying to setup this tool and kind of stuck, working in Window using user account (no admin rights). RM was working just fine for me. When i tried to run the eXtender there were a couple of error messages, so i started is as administrator. The problem is - the instance of RM that gets created is not labeled 'RMR'.
If I go Manager->New RatioMaster, the new instance appears with the name it the title that I assigned. This could be a workarround, but how to use Restarter for that instance?

cheatos, while i was trying to reproduce those messages i made another observation: if i run ResetRMeXSettings from user account it reports that everything was done. However, in fact the path to RatioMaster and apparently some registry values do not get cleaned, they just get skipped without any warnings. I hade to run ResetRMeXSettings as an admin to achieve a clean installation.
The following message poped up 3 times (2nd and 3rd times after ckicking OK):

Then, when i click on Test button - no RMR starts up, so i can't complete the test.

Thank you in advance for rmex Rev.2.1. Now i can not wait to try it!

very normal, RMeX uses the registry to save settings,
I'll change that to local file because iirc you're not the first with permissions problem.

it pops up three times because its trying to access the registry 3 times.

as for the ResetRMeXSettings problem i'll add error catching

Then, when i click on Test button - no RMR starts up, so i can't complete the test.

you have to start RatioMaster manually to test it,
but i will make RM starts up in 2.1
EDIT: also you don't need "RMR" to test, just the normal RatioMaster 1.9.0

cheatos, just a thought about TTA-2 minutes. Won't it be suspicious if client stops always 2 minutes before the announcement? Is there a way to make '-2 minutes' flexible in Rev 2.1 ?
