No, it isn't, since the tracker doesn't update the stats in real time. It'll see both the fast and slow speeds added up.

f i start the waffles method for example with 10mb and before the announce i change speed to 20kbs, when i stop the torrent, the tracker will register that 20kbs as my speed or an average between the time i used 10mbps and 20kbps?

It'll register an average of both:
( 10000kB/s + 20kB/s ) / Interval

Use the memory reader and the correct client file and there is no danger. I know from experience. Now is a great time too with the october.freeleech torrents. Either use the waffles methods or keep the speeds low. Easy and safe(or I wouldn't do it.)

vuze mod is safe if you keep the speeds very low compared to other trackers. and don't use anything but speed++.

i've read over these instructions before and tried them on a different site > TheVault.bz.. but i've been banned numerous times on the The* sites.

does anyone have any specific guides to modifying your ratio on waffles?
i don't want to get banned there too. so far you upload at 1MB for a few minutes, and then seed at 0-1KB to make your u/l ratio look more legit, but wouldn't seeding at 0-1KB first and THEN seeding at 1MB be better?

so far i've got ratiomaster 1.8.9 and used memory reader and ticked TCP listener, i havent done anything else. is there anything i'm missing?

oh and.. for example there are 10 leechers on a 1 GB freeleech torrent, with combined dl rate of 120 KB. should i put my upload rate at 100-120 KB or is it ok to do 1MB?

No, it wouldn't. The purpose of faking at 1MB/s, stopping before the update, and restarting with <1kB/s for a long time is decreasing the speeds in your snatchlist, to make you look like a real filesharer. If you do it the opposite way, your speeds will increase until they hit 1MB/s.

shoulder is right. Nothing besides using a fixed client file, found in the RM download we provide here.

You could do both, although in the first case seeding at 100-120kB/s continuously may get suspicious, specially if your ISP can't provide that, whereas with the Waffles method your window of exposure is smaller.

To keep it short, yes, just keep it ticked unless you're running a real client on the same port.

Change your IP, and clear cache and cookies.

i've encountered another problem.

used rm on 2 torrents, both had leechers.
600kb on torrent for about 20mins -> STOP and then used 0kb after.
the upload wasnt registered on the tracker.

help?

Use slower speeds, or only fake on one torrent at a time.

i have another small question, im wondering.. is there a possiblity that admins can ban users by cross checking the reported uploads with the actual uploads?
e.g reported upload = 155gb
actual upload = 5gb

They'd need to either be in the swarm to check that, or assume the reported values from other users are true. If you're worried about this, cheat on popular torrents where it's harder to catch you.

as long as your speed dösn't exceed the swarm speed it should be okay.
but be sure to look at the peerlist and the swarm speed. and of course you shouldn't have a speed like 80% of the whole swarm
