Why are gazelle trackers easy to cheat on?

I notice in a lot of posts saying gazelle very easy?

I notice you still show up in peerlist for a while even after you stop seeding so in theory can still get caught just as easy?

I assume if you go to high speed just like any tracker will get cuaght as well and if torrent has no leechers.

Because their admins don't bother with installing scripts. Or even enabling the "detect abnormal uploads" that comes with the stock source. This phenomenon is visible on many trackers using different codebases, also.

So then the question is why? LOL, is it that hard? Not that I am complaining.

I guess majority of times people get caught is due to an admin looking at a specific torrent and see if anything is suspicious and of course that takes a lot of time. I notice certain trackers are really strict with HnR, but I guess don't have scripts for abnormal upload speeds

so what is the highest speed you have faked upload on gazelle other then What? Or is it still based on each individual tracker? I am still too paranoid to go above 1 mb/sec and always make sure there are at least a few leechers.

because they secretly love us. they do all this anti-cheating stuff to keep it on the down low, they are just playing hard to get. they want us to convert and become legit, we refuse, they get mad, try to ban us, but in the end miss us.

I'd hardly call the amount of data Gazelle mines by default love. But then again who understands people?

It requires a bit of coding and most admins are too lazy to do that. Also, the code has to be pretty accurate or it may detect false positives which is a headache as then the admins/mods have to check every user who says that he has been falsely detected and the code.

People say they are lazy but has anyone actually seen the code?Has anyone even seen how much you have to edit?Not counting the fact that most of the scripts are still probably buggy and all...They prefer working around other more important stuff like getting more users, making the tracker more known to people, uploading more content etc...It's not like good users will complain about scripts anyway...

Making a new tracker isn't easy. What.cd's source is designed for a music tracker, and it takes time to morph it to something else. People are assumed to know this when they think of making a new site.

Yeah, in a perfect world false positives don't exist.

Agreed, specially famous gazelle trackers have good cheat scripts and better than tbdev (or whatever) trackers. Like Instab said "exactly, the default anti cheat features of gazelle are even better " and it's true due my tries to cheat on very new gazelle trackers and tbdev ones.
