Anyone knows if
is safe to use?Code:cs.rin.ru
Well, after a while support kind of turns into "you'll have to upgrade to our new product" if those people stick around too long, as well as prices often matching or going up.
Sure, you can keep your old slow one if you really want, but you're gonna pay slightly more than this new faster better one, and other bullshit like "Oh and with this new plan you also get a free phone if you stick around for at least 3 years!"

That's what happens in most cases, but I don't need to wander too far away from my room to find WEP networks and ADSL modems from 2010-era deployments (ADSL isn't even sold anymore as of three years ago). If it ain't broke, don't fix it?
Also, no such thing as a free phone

Well, coming from Sweden I have been used to speeds of at least 100/100 for the past 20 years. Back in the 90s and very early 2000s we had ADSL like 8/1, but that is long gone from the inhabited places in Sweden.
Moving the central Berlin 3 years ago was an eye opener. The fastest internet I could get in my apartment was a 6/1 and it couldn't even deliver the promised speeds.
I mean, what the hekk? It really felt like being back in the early 90s when I would spend hours downloading an MP3. Now its was the same thing all over again, struggling playing youtube videos or using the computer while my wife was using the internet.
Downloading 4k 50GB+ movies is not an option anymore.
I knew Germany is far behind the rest of the northern Europe when it comes to anything IT/Tech-related, but this was beyond my imagination. Really....
Same thing goes with the 4G connection and using mobile phones. I understand why some people still have their wire telephones. But that is another horrifying story...

Germany is far behind? Are you serious?
Yes, when it comes to anything IT-related, it feels like Germany is still stuck in the 90s.
"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."
Well Germany isn't in northern Europe.
According to https://www.speedtest.net/global-index, Germany does okay, ahead of UK in both mobile and fixed line.
I've been looking at my opened threads from back in the day. It seems so long ago. All of those "The <topic> Thread". I really miss simpler times...
