Talking on the phone makes me nervous beyond believe, even if it's with my best friend. In real life, I can talk about anything with her, even my sex life, without breaking a sweat.

Yeah, sometimes... if there are lots of things to talk about and no awkward pauses and no one interrupts each other.

Early this year, I turned the ringer in my office's phone off and played dumb when people complained no one answered their calls. This went on for a few months until my friend (who also knows this bit about me) asked me what was really going on, and then told me to turn it on again.

With that said, this invention can also be used for good.

I don't betray the people I love (romantically or not) and firmly believe neither should anyone else, ever. If she and I do get somewhere, cheating would not only be wrong, but also really stupid from me. It's hard as fuck to rebuild trust after something like that, and even if she never found out, I'd know and that's already bad enough.

@anon & @sazzy I think both of you are over thinking things which does happen a lot to smart people. It gets easy after you talk a while and becomes natural, fun even taking the 1st step to call is the hardest trust me I know. My point is just call it wont bite .

Got a reply today. She's been busy with college work and will be for the following two weeks, but we can meet afterwards. She e-mailed me some days ago coincidentally, had to push it back once more because of two midterms plus having to defend a thesis or somesuch. I turned my compatibility mode off and told her I was a patient wolf as well as about an alumni-exclusive discount on firearms and explosives offered at our high school (for the defense job ).
