    The Interview

    Release Date: October 10, 2014
    Studio: Columbia Pictures (Sony)
    Director: Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg
    Screenwriter: Dan Sterling
Starring: James Franco, Seth Rogen, Lizzy Caplan, Randall Park
    Genre: Comedy
In the action-comedy "The Interview," Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight." When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

North Korea is actually pretty pissed about this and is pushing for the US government to shut down the production of this movie. They are actually considering it an act of war.

More info here: North Korea: James Franco movie is 'terrorism' - CNN.com

I personally don't know how I feel about this yet. On one hand, some of the best comedy is making fun of famous people and Kim Jong Un should for sure not be excluded from this. On the other hand, something bothers me about the idea that the basis of the movie is about trying to kill someone who is still alive. But then again, the US president is a target in pretty much all action war movies. But he also never dies...

I don't know. I still need to think about this.

notice another, more subtle, mockery going on:
    - dave - an american, the tool, the one doing the dirty work, the loudmouth/joker/joke (skylark), the face of the show
    - aaron - a zionist, the producer, the one steering the show, the one behind the scenes
    - skylark tonight - the show with numerous episodes, every day/episode a new target (of usa 'invasion')

more like: in an attempt to reach 'the unreachable', increase their fame/popularity/ratings/salaries

as if the cia doesn't have enough (asian) spies inside NK, it would be very easy for them to get rid of this president and let some underground NK movement take the blame/fame, however he is more useful alive (a familiar/predictable person, known factor, not an unknown variable,...) as an exploitable instability in the region (gives them a reason for an increased presence in the area, further developing/strengthening their network of compromised organizations,...)

guess they cannot stand anyone mocking/disrespecting their supreme leader(s) no matter how deluded their behavior/goals may be (usa government does not have to worry about their own image since their mainstream and entertainment media is working in their favor, besides they are using more subtle methods of subversion than obviously dictatorial regimes do)
much of this is simply PR exaggeration & deception, NK may be isolated but they probably closely follow world events and have a pretty good idea of how hollywood works (the movie was made for usa/global audience as their targets, not NK), not to mention that the NK communism is silently approved by the world's socialist parties/leaders (which shouldn't be surprising to anyone since communism is the next step of socialism, as prescribed by their own ideological founders)
as for the 'act of war': usa government is actively using hollywood machinery to spread their values/indoctrination/influence/... onto the usa/global audience, which is one of the propaganda tools of colonialist/invading countries during both peace and war times, so this is not that far from the truth at all

good points there - in addition, the usa forces always? prevail as the winners (even if some of the characters depicted aren't shown in a favorable light, even if the movies may have either conservative or democratic alignment), global saviors, role models and whatnot - interestingly, this shows hollywood being a firm supporter of usa role as the world's sheriff, ie. their globalist attitude - seems they are not even nearly so opposed to the system, contrary to what they like the viewers to think

and why? because it is already spoiled (way beyond the expiry date)

    spoilers ahead!
but at least now we know he really does 'pee and poop'
though it is still questionable whether he does it supremely, befitting his title (the supreme leader)
