    The Amazing Spider-Man 2

    Release Date: May 2, 2014 (3D/2D theaters)
    Studio: Columbia Pictures (Sony)
    Director: Marc Webb
Screenwriter: Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner
Starring: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field
    Genre: Action, Adventure
It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

    @article:

It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield).
    its amazing to be spiderman
it was once great to be garfield, the cat (while his fame or lasagne lasted)
its great to be garfield, andrew (if you can Bear all the puns involving Cats, Spiders, Big-eyed girlfriends, Towering Electro-cuted haircuts and the like)

there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers
the same can be said when they overdo the swinging/webbing/flipping/cgi-ing (video-game overdose taken to the next level) or the tedious spidey comments/hyperactivity

    emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx)

    not sure what was weirder
, the character animation (especially the face) or the character acting (confused foxx, as if he landed in the wrong movie)

And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns
similar to the above: animation or the actor/acting (YA or Young Adolf much?)

    other than that:
the good? people actually cheered for their superhero, there was a sense of being a 'friendly neighborhood' (the firefighting scene)
compared to the 1st part? more intense, i guess (didn't watch it all, wouldn't see much from all the facepalms anyways)
compared to maguire versions? no real improvement, they just switched from 'whiny' to 'awkward', having similarly uninteresting outcomes

I forgot to come back to this thread, but I've watched it a while ago.

While it wasn't bad at all, I really don't like Jamie Foxx. I love the typical spidey humor these films have unlike the tobey ones. It's why i love these so much more than the tobey ones.

The villain was boring. I felt like Foxx screwed up the movie, though his character sucked before he even layed his hands on it. (Name one interesting thing that man has done, though)

    Spoiler Ending:
That ending though. God, I really really love the green goblin, and I really love the way he was portrayed here. I wish the movie was oriented around him instead. If there does come a third one, it's quite promising!

If anything, i liked the first one better, though. I had expected this to be a lot better. Why did they even chose this villain? I didn't really recognize him from the spidey universe either. I was hoping they'd go "the shocker" rather than what happened.
