Movie Trackers - CN gone, what's left?

now that CN is gone what is left?
    what is recommended?
is there a need for specialized movie sites at all?
what do the movie trackers have to offer over general and 0day sites?

PTPC and TC would be my personal recommendations. I wasn't a member at CN so I can't compare them, but they're very good movie trackers.

Is there a need for movie sites? Maybe, depending on your interests. If you usually grab the first semi-decent or DVD rip that comes out, watch them, and then delete them, then no. But if you usually download older movies, or appreciate things like director suggestions, you'll like them.

What they have to offer over 0-Day sites? The kind of stuff I said above.

PTTP and TC have pretty much all you would need.Add KG for old movies.
Or, you could just use general trackers.IPT+TL+FL have more movies that all those movie trackers out there.Only very rare ones can't be found here.
What does a scene tracker tell to a general tracker?

Maybe they have different quality for movies but I'm sure they can't have more than the general trackers threesome I just mentioned.

I agree with Mihai a good general tracker like TL ,IPT or RevTT will fulfill your needs

KG and CG are the best option for old, classics, rare flicks!

Instab it all depends on the type of movies and quality you're looking for.
I have 'em all and I'll tell you what I do.
first of all the type of movies I look for are recent, no 1950 stuff.
secondly, I mostly go for 720p x264 for my HD TV. the content is usually 4.5 GB scene 720p bluray rips and if the size is more than that I go for non scene releases, with sizes between 2 GB and 4 GB (by groups like ViSiON, HDLiTE, SecretMyth, various groups that can be found in demonoid and Free HD Movies From Megaupload, Rapidshare and other Hosts (rapidshare links and alike)).

so the trackers I usually go to for movies are (in this order):
    TorrentLeech
    IPTorrents
    Demonoid

I have TehConnection and PassThePopcorn but I never use them, since they have stupid rules that don't allow uploading of non scene 720p x264 material (but useless 830 MB XviDs are okay).
they do have most of the movies you'll look for but peers amount isn't as close to the above 3 trackers I mentioned.

by the way, if you're still stuck in the scene xvid releases, consider upgrading yourself.
2.5 GB x264 rip in 720p presents very good quality compared to any XviD encode.

    IMO not at all.

really really RARE movies (if a movie is rare it probably means it sucks anyway. I know it sounds shallow but it's the truth and we all know it :))

How could I forget Demonoid? It has more than any other movie tracker would dream of. The single problem with it is that you are not always 100% sure the movie is at good quality like the uploader says in the description.
