Based on Lawrence Block's bestselling series of mystery novels, "A Walk Among the Tombstones" stars Liam Neeson as Matt Scudder, an ex-NYPD cop who now works as an unlicensed private investigator operating just outside the law. although i love liam neeson movies but he should try a different role for a change.. y do he always get the same role in most of his movies?

anything aside from action.. I love his movies ,.. i was just wondering why he doesn't get any other type of role

@Hellman, sometimes I think about that too, but I think he looks so badass in these action kind of movies, it's like he was made for it
I hope to see him making part of Stallone's Mercenary group some day.

the most common reason: typecasting (hollywood playing it safe)
he did act in many lesser and some highly overrated dramas before (2 of which have been mentioned in the previous post hehe)

sometimes I think about that too, but I think he looks so badass in these action kind of movies

he doesn't quite fit in the typical action (movie) character role (the recent one-man shows felt fake, out-of-place, trying too hard, clumsy), he looks more like a disgruntled parent or say, a 'nervous' version of harrison 'the ordinary guy' ford
