Look, until yoco clarifies the problem with those ten grand, I'm going to assume he's a hitman or drug dealer.

It's pretty simple actually! Since november (2015) I earned 10k but still didn't get payed. So only thing left is lawyer up and go to court, which I already did. Waiting for their response now!

big differences are not unethical per se, maybe you meant to say exploitation
the employer can pay or try to pay whatever he wants - you can agree with those conditions or not

fact? is you have a higher income than the majority of the people of your age, yet you're still not satisfied and compare yourself to the top 10 or something - why not compare to the bottom 10 and conclude how incredibly well off you are?
I'm pretty sure exploitation is unethical though.

I'm actually comparing myself to the average and I am well below. There's sites for that now. Top 10 would be my paycheck +3k. Do I earn well for someone my age? Yes. But that's like saying a doctor should earn less because the sweepers on the street aren't as well off as the doctor is.
I'm not complaining about the amount that I make at all. Like I said before, I'm pleased with the amount that I do make. I'm just _not_ pleased that _in my direct environment_ everyone seems to be making a whole lot more for the same, while they often end up standing at my desk asking for my help rather than the other way around.
You might call me very materialistic and I won't even deny it. It's unfair and I won't have it.

Also, jesus christ, 10k. That's a shitload. And slik is complaining that I shouldn't complain since I'm well off !
Sucks that they're not paying up though..

sure, to the average regarding your profession in your particular market area or pay grade or country

there is also a global average where you're well above
there is also a global bottom where you're ridiculously well off
there are also homeless or unemployed people, etc.
but it never occurred to you to compare yourself to any of those people, not even when i suggested that point of view - maybe that could be called unethical or unfair

no, its saying the doctor should be grateful he is not in a worse situation - the same goes for the sweeper

It occurred to me but it's not relevant in this discussion. If I'm making as much as the sweeper, I honestly rather just sweep all day than having to take on all this responsibility and stress. If I'm making as much as a homeless person, I'll just stay at home.
Don't try to make me look like the bad guy here, I'm fully in my right.

Also, you have no clue what I make as I've never disclosed it nor have I actually told you what my job exactly is. You really don't know how well I'm actually doing nor do you know about my home situation. All numbers I've named have been fictional examples as wages in my country are still taboo and I go along with it. It's easy to talk about good and bad karma and how there is a universal answer to everything and what not, how everyone should be pleased and happy and how wonderful life really is.
But in real life, all of that is meaningless. By the end of the month there will be bills and I will have to pay them. And if I don't, I can join those homeless you talk about so eagerly in no time. Even just becoming a sweeper would mean I'd end up homeless. And I'm not even a big spender. I hardly ever buy anything for myself except for food and I even cheap out on that.

That being said, iirc what you do for a living, you're off far better than I am. Though I'm sure you give at least half of your paycheck to the homeless and needy all the time.

Off course, this is the internet, and I should have known better than to confide.

I will be dropping this subject now as I have completely lost interest into disclosing this any further.

which just goes to show how you never actually tried sweeping a whole day
homeless doesn't mean staying at home, it means not having a home

    I'm fully in my right.
yes, you're fully entitled to your opinion and you offer it here for all to read

Also, you have no clue what I make as I've never disclosed it
you've said enough (in another thread, remember?), it doesn't take a detective to figure it out

It's easy to talk about good and bad karma and how there is a universal answer to everything and what not, how everyone should be pleased and happy and how wonderful life really is.
true, it is easier to talk about something you're beginning to grasp more and more as you actively deal with it

But in real life, all of that is meaningless. By the end of the month there will be bills and I will have to pay them.
(search for the) meaning of life is meaningless?
just because your current living experience feels difficult?
and there are those annoying things called bills or work for a living or whathaveyou?

Though I'm sure you give at least half of your paycheck to the homeless and needy all the time.
interestingly, i have been thinking about something similar (though not directly to homeless people, but as donations to genuine organizations that promote worthy causes like raising spiritual awareness towards self-realization) - reasoning: only higher spiritual awareness can offer a way out of any situation, no matter how tough or seemingly impossible to overcome - however, i'm not there yet if thats what you wanted to know

    in this sense:

give a man a fish and you feed him for a day
teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime
help a man on his path towards self-realization and he will be free for eternity

after 2 years I decide to clean up my sisters laptop. She kept saying it's really laggy and unresponsive. So I uninstall & delete all my stuff, clean with antimalware. And when I tried to upgrade W7 it kept saying "searching for updates". I noticed that this is the cause of lagging, svchost would start eating memory like crazy. The only way to stop this was to disable windows update service. Any idea how to fix this?

    Always clean install.
I also do a full DOS HDD wipe before I clean install.
I would choose 8.1 over 7 tbh, faster.

His advice still stands. Get an ISO with all updates integrated from TPB or Warez-BB and install that using your current product key. It's going to be much better and faster than cleaning an existing setup.

This is supposed to be a Mystic Mountain, but all I see is a robed figure ready to swing a pickaxe at another one cowering below.

You can get the official ISO files from Microsoft's website, if you already have a key anyway :)
Probably worth the effort in this case
