    The ultimate X-Men ensemble
ugh, talk about creating hype: get all/most of x-men character actors together in one movie, who can say no to checking that out?

fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods
here we go, another over-the-top theme (survival of the species no less), plus the time-travel nonsense, perhaps also jumping between time-lines/battlefields

join forces with their younger selves
maybe this time the young team might look better, backed-up by the older, more experienced/charismatic actors - as opposed to the previous x-men movie mediocrity

in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.
did you notice how in recent times no one talks about 'helping' or 'helping-out', its constantly this exaggeration: saving this, saving that, as if things (people, animals, nature,...) are so fragile or helpless or incompetent that they need continuous babysitting (read: surveillance), always in need of being saved (read: brought in-line with the mainstream, state-nanny knows best), having a small army of trained professionals (read: government employees) 'fighting' for their future & survival (nice little state-sponsored cages/molds you will be granted...if you behave well)

anyways, methinks this will end-up being another case of: too many cooks (famous actors) spoil the broth (movie)

i loved the trailer that come out the other day. i wasn't expecting them to refer so closely to the previous X men movies (X1 to 3).

i'm also really impressed with what marvel has done with the x-men series in film. it's truly epic how they've put together continuity in the movies over a decade. most of the movies are pretty good as well. can't wait.

forgot to add this part - for good movies from this director, see:

    Superman Returns (2006)
    X-Men 2 (2003)
    X-Men (2000)
    The Usual Suspects (1995) excellent

these 2 x-men movies are the only ones (from the whole franchise, incl. wolverine) i'd recommend as worth watching

if you don't like 1st class you won't like this either. You can take my word on that!!

Personally I loved 1st class, so I think this will be awesome! Can't wait.. Imho the only xmen movies that aren't good at all are the wolverine ones. Which is sad, cause wolverine is one of the best characters

I agree. Wolverine, my favorite comic character, but movies just simply suck! :(
I'm hoping director won't f*ck this up as he did with Superman Returns!

They've picked the story from cartoon series.. this actually might b good but still I doubt it.. I didn't hate 1st class.. plot was nice but director did so many moronic things.. Xavier had that huge ass machine over his head to find mutant n all he found was 5 kids? unreal.. n the part where he trained those mutants was really stupid n the pathetic part where he tried to make the audience go on feels trip when Charles was training magneto remember? Charles showed magneto his one fcukin image of the past n guess what he is a unstoppable motherfcker now.. turned the whole dish around.. all of a sudden he is superman... the movie was full of stupidity... could've been made way better.. plot was nice, special effect decent but director was a total lazy ass...

Well, at least that's a very good start. Most of these movies suck because they're trying to be original :/
