"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."
It's already hit the 21st in Japan (and other super eastern countries)
Perhaps we are immortal to be able to post at dark times like this!
Or maybe the end comes in your local time, that'd be an interesting fact then.

I think this thread is for fun and wild imaginations.
My post might have ruined the fun though.

I'm just poking fun at those who believe doomsday is tomorrow. The world would have probably ended a few hundred times already if that crud were true.

I don't think this is the issue those people are having... Not everyone is gonna die but what I and others worry is that something somewhere might happen and may lead to several deaths.
Questions are where and when.

i will be a god. the human race is then restricted to their reservates like the native ameriacen areas.
only 500 Million till 1 Mrd. people are allowed to live at the same time.

Before I go to bed I'll say a little praying and hope I'll wake up next day!
so what was this 'end of the world' claim based on: the end of a cycle according to the mayan calendar? No, The Mayans Did Not Predict The End Of The World In 2012 - Forbes
what does common sense say about that: the end of one cycle is the beginning of another (just like one current year's end is the beginning of the next one)
what does common sense say about the 'end of the world': if it began some time in the past, it will most certainly end some time in the future
what does common sense say about the periods of cycle-switching: they are turbulent since things are changing significantly (think about one's birth & death events)
what does common sense say about the conditions at the time of the 'end of the world': since this is the most significant change for the world it must also necessarily be the most turbulent one, thus you will know it is arriving when things get so tough, or to put it bluntly: so f*cked up, you'll be literally losing your mind and it will be happening to everything around you as well (the world, right?), so by the look of things we're not quite there yet (far from it too)
expert opinion needed? not really, common sense will suffice just fine
so one thing is certain, the world will indeed end (at least the one we know of) - i'm guessing it will look like the worst possible/imaginable cataclysm: natural disasters all around, psychotic maddening people & animals, rotting and rapidly decaying environment, civilizations down the drain, wars, destruction, sickness, malfunctioning bodies, warped 'laws of nature', everything getting 'crushed into oblivion',... you name it, a time of chaos & mayhem in a way as yet unknown

might wanna consider going back to your farm instead of making laughable statements (directed at the author of the quote in case someone wondered), meaning: fresh air & some physical work --> clear mind"If we were not given immortal souls, then we must create our own." Philip J. Farmer

Alright, it's December 22nd here, so I officially survived the end of the world.
