I'm very frustrated this week because I've wasted my download bandswitch on movies that are complete rubbish (in my humble opinion) although it has high rating on IMDb so this thread will be for movies that you don't recommend us to watch.

A repeated story without any actual horror.

But yes, it was kinda lame comparing to let's say "4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days" which has a similar content but it's way better.

phew....i could list hundreds of movies ranging from bad to fuc*ing awful
the thing is, after a while it starts to get annoying, all those half-done and amateurish daydreams or blockbuster formulaic or outright preaching movies or cgi (re)loaded, yet virtually no contents worth mentioning or cliched one-dimensional characters with the usual good-bad combat with no depth to it...so for some time now i've been quite picky as to what (movies) i download: mostly its older stuff i know it was good or that has some pedigree, so to speak, as for newer movies i usually choose something that sounds interesting or some promising/hyped mainstream movies...but as opposed to the past, i tend to fast forward and skip a lot, especially if it becomes boring or it has some of the aforementioned (negative) characteristics - the most irritating thing is that older movies feel more genuine than newer ones (with very few exceptions), so i'd say that probably my habit of (somewhat) following whats getting released nowadays, hoping for something entertaining, may be the only reason for downloading newer movies

well it was just so flat and forseeable. the storyline was so not-creative ... it's been there a thousands of times before.What was bad about it?
and the spaceship is sitting there for what? 20 years? and they did not provide just one single piece of new tech????
and what about the culture of the aliens? some info about their origin (more than the 2 sentences they gave us)? and so on ... they just failed everywhere i'm afraid

well, i thought it was above average, with some fresh ideas thrown in the mix, like the unusual approach with that clumsy/silly UN negotiator (or something), wacky camera work, decent horror elements (growing into a half alien)...eventually it got a bit dull/predictable towards the end, but i liked it nevertheless
