This is what I have been using for months. All that I have to do is click on START. It handles everything itself. Connecting , initiating torrent download after 2:00 AM. disconnects/shutdowns before 8:00 AM. Its freeware.

yes mihai it will do it i have been doing this for past 1 year successfully.i use autopower on software with the bat file

rasdial connection_name /disconnect
rasdial connection_name username password

save it as bat file

and load it in autopoweron

thats it

it will work like a charm

it will also open mratio,vuze,utorrent etc at a particular time.

I'm confused.My modem only starts if i press the back button so how can this program actually start it?

The code Jack posted will disconnect you from the Internet, then reconnect you. I think that only works with RAS connections (DSL, VPN), since Cable lines connect you to the Internet as soon as the modem and your PC is powered up.

Yup.I was wondering if this program will transform my pc in a Transformer and open the modem manually then transform into a simple pc back
