The film stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they've been brought together on an alien planet... as prey. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human "predators" that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators.

seems to me yet another big budget hollywood sequel is heading down the drain, following in the footsteps of the previous AvP mediocrity

whatever, judging from this trailer a more appropriate title would be 'predator 1, the not-really-promising remake'

who? check this guy's imdb page, he has so far done only 6 movies, half of them hungarian? the term 'bold' from above now takes a different meaning

wtf?? the piano guy turned detective turned mercenary, this is beyond ridiculous, looks like brody is being pushed by someone, as some kind of new action hero, when all you need is one look at him and realize that action/hero/masculine roles do not suit him at all

check their faces to see how 'cold-blooded' turns into 'scared wannabe' in a split second, does that look like a hardened mercenary behavior? see the first predator movie to realize the difference

anyways, for a good predator based movie see the first two and the first AvP:

Predator (1987) - excellent
Predator 2 (1990) - very good
AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) - decent
AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem (2007) - bad
Predators (2010) - going bad, soon

Laurence Fishburne's okay..
Walton Goggins was Shane in The Shield (the best cop series ever) so that's a good one..
and "Mahershalalhashbaz Ali" what the fuck?!

Based on the looks of the trailer - Bound to be doomed.Once you drag an acclaimed series, i don't think it would create any better impressions than previous ones. John McTiernan left us with an imprint that it's hard to get over with it. As sequels become more & more , it kinda becomes predictive.

Only thing that will make me watch this movie is Adrien & Fishburne

It was a terrible mistake mixing them in the first place. Two different stories that just don't belong together.

I'm gonna watch it but my hopes are kept low. This way I'm gonna get the most fun watching it. I doubt it's gonna be better than the first one, though you never know. I already do miss having arnold there, though.

Your post made me think about getting a new aliens movie. That could be pretty sweet too, though probably not
