It's Christmas Eve and all ADOM characters generated today have the "Fate smiles upon you" intrinsic (= less item destruction, more critical hits, fatal blows often leave you at 1 HP)... but I don't feel like playing

I am SUPREMELY pissed off right now.
Never before have I been this pissed off while doing something on this site.
I just wasted about 2 hours researching and writing an article for the site's front page.
I didn't select 'Save', rather 'Apply" and it came up that the current page could not be found.
I back buttoned with the least hope available that my article would still be there.
It wasn't.
I just about smashed my computer's screen.
It's my fault.

No. I didn't notice it. I know that it is constantly auto-saved when typing but I never noticed where the button to recall was. I guess I was not paying attention when I could have been. Next time, I'll remember to look for it. Oh, well.

That's why when I long write posts, I write them in Notepad first and copy them back to the web browser

It's actually pretty good. This reminds me of when last year, the admin in charge of the computer room showed me a poem he wrote and told me how he now wrote poems and stuff.

Me: But this doesn't rhyme!
Admin: It doesn't have to. It's not a requirement. Cortázar wrote many poems that do not rhyme.
Me: Yes, but when he does it, he's a master of literature that surprises our expectations with a masterwork. When I do it, I'll probably get a 6. When you do it, you're some guy who couldn't come up with sensible rhymes.

On a completely different note - GTA physics:
Metallic traffic lights can be easily demolished by a military tank, but wooden poles carrying power lines must be made of eternium on the inside, because they can't be knocked down and will completely stop the vehicle's movement. Hitting a pile of cardboard boxes will also halve the speed of said tank. (I fired Vice City up for a change!)
