that's actually the 1st time that I've heard of Splayer.

Just looking at the webpages pics of Splayer, it sure has a nice interface.
but I notice taht it only compares itself to a few other players. I don't see BSPlayer or VLC on there. I also don't see Winamp on there either.

I found a few of teh formats that it plays but it seem to only play just some of the popular ones. I didn't see file formats such as .mkv as I've come across on some torrents that I downloaded.

Other than that, nice review.

I personally disabled the usage of internal codecs in mpc. It's my video player of preference and I was pretty excited to see them start with internal codecs like VLC. But in the end, they're just not as good (or outdated? i don't know) as the ones you just manually install. In that case, you just end up using the same codecs as WMP. Though I must admit I'm quite fond of their subtitle rendering, keeping in mind the total screen rather than just the size of the video. (Though I do understand an external codec wouldn't be able to accomplish this)

CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) is a codec pack, not a codec.
