The stick has been organized as follows:

It has three partitions: BOOT_DISK (FAT32, if UEFI it boots directly to partition 2 WINDOWS_DISK, if BIOS it displays a boot menu containing the Windows entry and Grub4DOS from legacy boot.ini ). All data is stored in DATA_DISK.

Grub4DOS finds partitions based on empty files/tags left in each drive.

Grub4DOS run in dual version: GRUB4DOS 2016-07-04 is an ISO that is chainloaded from the main grldr if it is used on DELL machines. It is a glitch that no windows ISO will load correctly if not using a specific version. I have tested this setup on over 80 different laptops: DELL,HP,EMACHINES,LENOVO,SAMSUNG,INTEL and it for full compatibility that is the last known working version.

The WINDOWS_DISK contains windows 8.1, firewalled, setup with bginfo, acronis, partitionguru, low level format and office 2013. No Internal HDD can beat it, it can only be beaten by SSD Pro drives.

The DATA_DISK partition is filled with portable and installable applications. It has test documents, scripts, windows portable programs, runtimes, 4k testing video files, burn-in video/audio files. The scripts alone are 200 files, hybrid powershell, batch, vbs. All windows OSes, custom and original. WINPE setup scripting environments.

I conqured my job using this stick. Haven't done anything manually at my job since march, eveything is done automaticaly.

You mean me? I used to hang out around here a few years back and contribute and reports on cheating on private trackers etc. Anon has a very good elephant memory to remember me from all the hundreds of people coming and going around here.

I am too lazy to script prefer a hands-on approach for day-to-day tasks, but when time and effort savings from automation would be significant, then I consider it a challenge and am pleased to spend many hours achieving it. I have written several utility apps and installers... it is usually easier than finding an already-existing solution, because I only need to implement the minimum set of features I need, and don't have to spend time learning how someone else's program works.

2009 was a super busy year for the forum, alright! I was here, I saw it all, and remember most of it. The release of the Extreme Mod certainly helped

I'm waiting for corsair to release the 512gb and 1TB ssd usb sticks in order to advance to logical partitions.
They are not releasing it due to the "population not ready" and "too expensive" crap.

On a side note, Windows 10 is a definite failure. They are not only pushing the upgrade via regular machines but also through domain machines that are with a WSUS server. Normally every update microsoft releases gets pushed to your local WSUS server and then to your machines after you allow them. For Windows 10 upgrade updates this is not the case, they are bypassing your domain policies and WSUS exclusions.

Windows 8/8.1 was a failure due to lacking start menu. Regardless of what you may think it was counter-productive. Windows 7 still holds the largest marketshare and now people are being migrated against their will via these updates.

perhaps the elephants are simply not interested in such memory tests, which gets interpreted as a lack of memory, hehe

Is it useful to idle on IRCs of private trackers? I never did it, I was part of an IRC channel a while ago where people were promoted to half-ops for idling, but that's not something that makes me feel like a bigger and better person. Pragmatically, anyone know if idling and handing out on private trackers IRC channels help in some way to get promoted or something like that? Most private tracker IRC channels are dead with no action except when someone with a problem shows up I think

Idling is that, idling. By itself, it will gain you nothing unless the tracker has set up specific rewards for it. And all promotions (other than staff) are, for the most part, based on tracker activity; it's possible to be offered perks and invites to other sites if you're a regular, but the real reason to join an IRC channel should be because you want to chat, as that's what it was meant for. Personally, even when I had lots of free time, I never saw the attractive of constantly watching over an IRC client, because it keeps you from doing other things.

Little tip from me:
Whenever using HDD Regenerator and results are not satisfactory, try to use every version available of it and not just the latest. I have 1.51, 1.61, 1.71 and 2011 and each of them are good for specific drives. There is no one size fits all.
