    uTorrent Settings

    Options => Preferences
    *Connection:
    - Port used for incoming connections choose between ........20000 to 65000
    - Uncheck Enable UPnP Port Mapping

    *Bittorrent:
    - Global maxim number of connections: 500 or higher depend on your connection
    - Maximum number of connected peers per torrent: 2-300 - depend on your connection
    - Number of upload slots per torrent..same as Maximum number of connected peers per torrent
    - Untick Enable DHT Network
    - Untick Enable DHT for new torrents
    - Untick Enable Peer Exchange
    - Outgoing: select Enabled
    - Tick Allow incoming legacy connections

    49152-65535 is a nice port range too

    also disabling UPnP feature for windows is a security tip, if i remember corretly.

    about that, if you want to be really secure... start -> run and type

    net stop upnphost

    press ENTER, wait until the black window goes away. this stops the upnp service.

    then open regedit, go to key



    look for the dword value called "Start" in the right panel and set its value to 4. done

    of course this breaks upnp connectivity but i think port forwarding is cooler but for X reason you may need the upnp service...

    does your router support nat-pmp? because if so, you could use that and be a little more safe :)

    Well,it does break UPNP conectivity but disabling it along with other settings might double up you bandwith using Utorrent !! (I will provide a whole Tutrial once I get home for Doubling your download speed using Utorrent)
