eMule is a p2p filesharing program where you can find all kind of file. Start to use eMule is very simple, download and install it. Than you need to configure it, the important is options/connection setting wich depends from your internet connection type. For start a download you need to have an ed2k link or seach a file. You can search files in Kad or Server. The Kad is a network where all clients (other people with eMule, called Sources) are connected. The server are like BitTorrent trackers and you will send you filelist to them for searching, and they have also a Sources list for file wich you will request. Use also an Ip Filter. I will do a guide the next days to how update it and useful link.

When you started a download eMule will found sources for download it. You can see the sources list by double click on the download wich you would see. There are different kind of sources, depends how you found they.

For download from 1 sources you need to wait your turn because eMule have a queque and credit systems. You can know how work it here http://www.sb-innovation.de/showthre...threadid=21118

When your download is finished you can always find it in shared files list. You need to continue to share it for the network. In eMule you can have unlimited shared files, but see server softlimit and don't have higher number.

What are eMule Mods ?
They are modified version of eMule. There is 2 king of mod, official and leecher. The leecher are faster but if you use options like "no upload" you will destroy the network, for this with some mod you can try to ban him... repeat, TRY...

How to don't download fakes ?
When you added a download from eMule click with right mouse button and see comments. Now, click on FileName. Here you can see the name of this file wich are setted other clients. If the name is different from your file the file is a fake.
Check also the comment, go on commenct window and click on "Search in Kad", for example you can see the video quality of a film.

How to speed up eMule ?
The much important is take open your eMule the much possible ! Then you can use a Leecher mods for exploit official credit system and other options for give upload from other leecher mods like community thied or fakerank with mod with upload management.

How I can know if I have an high ID ?
The globe on the right should have the 2 green arrows if you are connected to servers and kad.
Or will one green and one red if you have connected only 1 of 2.
If so you have a high ID.

Use common sense and avoid anything with "toolbar" on its filename, and you should be safe. Checking other known filenames for your current downloads is cool also.

yes i do so but i'm talking about downloading a movie and after that it's another movie and i'm not talking about new movies ... old ones , happened to me couple of times and also file with Trojans as mp3 files

Checking the filenames should help with that

How says anon, checking filename is the best solution.
For example if you are downloading "Anon" and in filename windows you see all sources have "TheDeathless" anon is a fake
Or if you see much more different filename also, fake !

Yes, and if you see many drastically different filenames (for example, winxp.iso or pornmovie.avi), you can be pretty sure it's a fake.

Mods with the filename disparity check (e.g. Butcho's, Beba, etc.) can automatically check that for you.

Yes but for some files, the filename disparity check have false positives. For that, enable it, but control the filename list, than delete download if fake

Check also comment for know film quality. For show more comment click on button "Search in Kad" in commenct window

i tried emule ages ago but it was so painfully slow that imo it wasn't worth it...though some users swear they can max out their connection every time (most likely because they seed a lot & with good upload speeds), never tried any mods and probably never will

afaik some time around the advent of torrents emule lost a great deal of users and never recovered from it, not to mention it was/is a hunting ground for the anti-p2p's

Checking file names doesn't work in public torrent sites, yesterday i was searching for a movie called ( the postman 1997 ), found a BRrip and guess what it was an episode from ( Man VS Wild ) i was lucky though cause it was good episode from Zambia

I guess it's the same in eMule, checking file names won't get you anywhere if it was a fake file.
Checking comments is a better option to avoid fake files.

eMule and torrents are two different things

Check filename work in eMule. Sometime in eMule don't work ok the commenct... often they're used only for spam
