Installation:
1. Download and install Azureus (if this is a Beta/CVS update, download the latest NON BETA release) (Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download).
2. Optional: If you want to make a backup of your old Vuze version. Go to the install directory and rename Azureus2.jar to Azureus2.jar.bak
3. Extract the RAR using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus) and overwrite ALL files.
4. Run Azureus and Enjoy!

Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to version 6 (Java SE Downloads).
2. You have removed the Azureus folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
3. You have removed the Azureus folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Azureus for XP
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Azureus for Vista
4. Reinstalled Azureus using the package from Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download
5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded RAR.

Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Azureus settings.


Single Exe version (All in One)
Single Exe version doesnt need Vuze installed on your PC just download, extract and run the exe. Only java is needed to be installed.

Additional Info:
You can upgrade from a previous version seamlessly - your torrent list will not be lost.

anon why i am not conneting to leechers when trying to seed from vem is it not possilbe to connect leechers?

It's been said many times - that's an Extreme Mod bug. You can always set the values in point 13 (refer to this) to 0 to keep on faking nonetheless.

if u set to zero u need to monitor it like a RM task. if the torrent maintains those 10/8 then it should be a problem

I think he meant that if those 8 seeders and 10 leechers remains, then it's pretty likely it's a torrent with partial seeders, which is dangerous.

this is general remember. But its a good idea to tell us which tracker u using VEM on cos sometimes its not that strict

What about packs and torrents people may choose not to fully download?

With both values set to 0, the mod will keep on faking forever... so you should always keep an eye on what's going on.

anon i will make u clear my question.

for example If i want to cheat on what.cd i had selected a 2gb torrent with 8 seeders and 40 leechers i had downloaded the complete torrent with a fake upload of 500mb i have to get another 1600mb to fake it there to get 1:1 ratio the torrent will be seeding using vem.

there will be 13 seeders inlcuding me and 30 leechers when i become a seeder then i have to set those both the values to zero to fake there when i am seeding so is it possible to detect the staff that i am cheating on if there are real leechers also?


and when seeding in info i checked and it is like this.

swarm average speed 0B/s

total speed 689KB/s

does that mean there are no leechers?

If you use very high speeds, yes, they can catch you. It's better to keep speeds below 100kB/s or use the Waffles method.

Keep in mind the swarm average speed only takes the peers you're connected to in consideration... if you aren't connected to anyone, of course it'll be 0kB/s.

It means there's no activity with the peers you're connected to, and thus you should proceed at your own risk. Check the peerlist if available, it'll help a lot.

and on waffles on comic packs is it safe to cheat with keeping the values to 0 when the torrent are new?
