I expected similar responses from you, here what I had in mind:
    "I always use private tabs"
"I always clear the history after exiting opera"

I never exit, so I make up for that by disabling history.

Yes. He claimed to be in this thirties, I think. While I'm not a paragon of maturity myself, I'm surprised someone of that age would repeatedly ridicule himself so much to gain entry to some piracy site whose only forte is probably the forums, and he can't speak English fluently.

I've seen a few distributions like that, but generally they're too cumbersome to successfully work with on someone else's computer. A portable virtual machine running a customized OS (which I've also seen, and can probably be assembled by yourself using qemu) is better in that regard, but balances the scale by demanding more resources.

Of course, once you have a laptop you can run all the paranoia software you want and gain network access via stolen Wi-Fi. If it's from a public place, you can use this to draw less attention towards your equipment.

    Exactly.

In the province of San Luis, there's free/public Wi-Fi access almost anywhere. Its governor promised to do the same for the whole country when he ran for president, but he didn't win.

"I want us to paint a future full of light together. Argentina must enter the digital age. For that it's necessary to have Wi-Fi. My commitment: free Wi-Fi all over Argentina." -- Electoral ad

They started doing something like that over here. The ISP gives you a new modem which has a built-in router. This router contains two access points, a private one and a public one. The private one is just for you and is completely separated from the public one, the public one broadcasts unprotected. Anyone can log into the public one using their ISP's login. (thus they have to be a customer with that ISP). I don't really like where this is going :/ My home router isn't supposed to let people on the internet through my cable -.- Even if my network is safe. Call me egocentric but get your own damn internet access :( I don't exactly feel safe with this either. People are prone to make errors and it's just a matter of time before someone finds a leak in these things and can access all your private data!

Oh and did I mention you *have* to use this router or you wont be able to go on the internet? Not only that, but you have to configure it through the ISP's website (thus they have your router password, settings and can probably access your network too if they wanted to!) There is an opt-out (which imho is far worse than the other way around) for now, so you can disable the public part, but I don't trust this.

You can always place another router inbetween and feel a bit safer, but that screws up far too many things :/
