At the moment (if i had the money)....
5-8k for a multifunctional-Server ( filled with at least 25 Samsung 1 TB drives in raid 5-5 ,Server-Mainboard with 4 Quadcores and 128 GiB of ram, Quad Gbit Ethernet. )
>1k for a Desktop-PC
>500 for a subnotebook, I dont like classic notebooks.
To be a little more down-to-earth in a topic like this, I'd say, for the moment, my dream PC, as extravagant as it might be, would be perfect at just about $3000+ USD. That is, without being completely unrealistic in this 'dream' of mine. One can imagine what 3 grand would already be able to get you, and I'd be more than happy to settle for that.
hmmm.. about 4k USD, including water cooling, speaker etc..
Anything more than about $1.5 - 2k U.S. is wasted. It'll be out-dated and worth a quarter of what you paid for it by the time the parts to build it it show up at your door.

i'm going to buy a new pc and i'm probably gona spend around 600-700 euro on it.
Without the 2 x 30" screens I would invest about 2500-3000€, but not today, the SSDs have to be much more low priced, so I could buy about 2-8TB and put 'em into Raid 0.
