    Change Log:

    Build 403
    + Updated core to 4.0.0.2

    Build 400
    + Updated core to 4.0.0.0

    Known Issues:
Client spoofing with plugin to peers is NOT implemented.

    Installation:
    1. Download and install Azureus 4.0.0.2 (Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download).
    2. Delete the "plugins" folder in %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
    3. Extract the RAR using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus) and overwrite ALL files.
    4. Go now to the install dir. It is important to delete or make a backup of the old Azureus2.jar (Azureus2.jar.bak) after that rename Azureus2_4.0.0.2_403.jar file to Azureus2.jar
    5. Run Azureus and Enjoy!

    Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
    1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to version 6 (Java SE Downloads).
    2. You have removed the Azureus folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
    3. You have removed the Azureus folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Azureus for XP
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Azureus for Vista
    4. Reinstalled Azureus using the package from Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download
    5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded RAR.

Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Azureus settings.

    Enjoy!

That's also right. Azureus' operations are "caught" by the JVM, which in turn "translates" them to something the host OS can understand. ("write once, run anywhere") This makes Java inherently slower than other programming languages, but also extremely cross-platform.

Hashing should now be as fast as it can get, then.

Moved to the Azureus SB-I Hack thread.

That's easy, just highlight all the files in WinRAR or whatever other unpacker you use, and drag them to an empty place inside the folder you've posted a screen of. Press "yes to all" when asked to overwrite stuff.

After that, delete the original Azureus2.jar, rename the Azureus2_4.0.0.2_403.jar you've extracted to to Azureus2.jar, and run Azureus.exe to start the program.

You don't have to extract the JARs! Just copy the ones inside the archive you've downloaded to the Vuze directory, delete the official Azureus2.jar, rename Azureus2_4.0.0.2_403.jar to Azureus2.jar, and run Azureus.exe.

If it happens with 4.0.0.2, post in 4.0.0.2's thread.

That's a Vuze error rather than DDJ's Hack fault, it seems. Check whether you have the latest version of the Java Runtime Environment installed. You can also try redownloading the .torrent.

Any reason I would be getting this on my Mcafee Enterprise? Somethings fishy?

@evilmm: port 587 is an alternate SMTP port someone else in the swarm is using as their listen port, possibly to avoid ISP restrictions/shaping. Give Azureus.exe full access in McAfee's firewall if you don't want to see that warning anymore.

    @mat: glad to hear that.
