    VLC media player 0.9.2 Grishenko

    Changes between 0.9.2 and 1.0.0-git:
    ------------------------------------

    Inputs:
    * Mouse cursor support in x11 and win32 screen modules
    * Screen module now supports partial screen capture and mouse following on
    windows.

    Decoders:
    * AES3 (SMPTE 302M) support
    * E-AC3 (A/52b) support

    Stream output:
    * Restored the old mpeg2 transrating module.
    * Multiple bridge-in instances are now possible.
    * bridge-in can be used to configure a placeholder stream.


    Changes between 0.9.1 and 0.9.2
    -------------------------------

    * Restored the old behavior of --sout-keep. It is now de-activated by default.
    * Skins2 interface repaired on Windows.
    * Multiple bugfixes.


    The VideoLAN Team is pleased to announce the release of VLC media player 0.9.2 - Grishenko.
    Resulting of 2 years of development, it features many new functionalities, including a new interface for Windows and Linux.

    I think vlc uses too much resources, i prefer mediaplayer classic and Kmplayer.

    i use at the moment 2 players: G.O.M.-player & vlc 0.9.2 Grishenko
    yes vlc has more ressources now than earlier but its for a good reason, more codecs, more security, more user-comfort, isn't it?
    the second one(GOM) can play everything without .mov(i think) so than u have to take video lan))

    I use MPC, since if you combine it with ffdshow it can play pretty much anything you throw at it. Maybe you can give that a try if a program that can play any movie is what you need
