Yes, maybe a lot of people "still" use Win3.11 and the such, but I don't think anybody uses Windows 1.0 by now

that is stoneage anon LOL stoneage BIG time
Indeed
The oldest Windows I ever got to run in my PC is Win3.1, in a FAT32 drive and after patching some files. If I had got working drivers for my network card, it'd have been pretty much usable: graphic, sound and other stuff was working.
I have also tested NT 3.51 in a VM. After setting it up correctly and installing all drivers, it could even access the Internet using IE3. I entered SB-I from there and even made a post

damn a less than 1MB file size making the whole OS's directory gets up to 2MB max ?? damn, this is was a real STONEAGE guys,I couldn't believe that we actually had that OS in hand back then & lots of ppl actually worked with it for a couple of years till a bit modern version of Win OS came out
I miss the Win98, the better for games.
Preference for games: Win98>xP>2000.
Win2008 Server is very good. I think.
@cDDDe: yep, Windows 98 is more compatible with older games, but sometimes crashes while playing, which is annoying.
But as a matter of fact, back when used my K6-2 I had more FPS in Win2000 than in W98
@Aurion: Indeed; but Win1.0's Reversi still works on XP after some hacking (don't know if it's OK to link to the site here but you can google "Misc. Windows Screen Shots")
I'm not surprised, even my phone can win against me in reversi

@anon: LOL take a look at that binary game, heh !! what a dummy one back then
I think it was the only game bundled with Win1.0 back then. But it's fun to play even now
Some other Windows 1.0 apps work in XP too:

damn, this is too Stoneage tools anon, hehe look @ the painter,so LAME sure funny to use
Not really, because you can't use too many of its options
And it can only save images in the .msp format (yes, the same extension as Windows Installer Patches), so I have yet to find another program that'll open its documents...
"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."
that format was supported back then in Win 98 If im not mistaken, mybe a google search for one of the old tools might help
Paint? Well, I think it's probably been bundled with every Windows edition out there.
But as far as I know, W98's can only open BMPs, and not MSPs.
XP's can also open and save .gif, .jpg and .png apart from bitmaps.
