It's amazing how I keep forgetting about Docspedia even though it's been around for over than a decade...
"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."
No, it effectively shut down on 2018 along its TV counterpart after the only person able to fix server problems on both vanished. Sucks for all the content that was lost, but other than that I can't say I care.
Interestingly, the same had occurred to FTN on 2014, would repeat itself at Waffles on 2019, and almost happened to PTP this very year. Chain of trust is an important thing when running a tracker, but you'd think these people would learn from history and have some sort of backup plan.

vanished how ?vanished
looks likea simillar with what almoust happend with fl.ro this year
so basically we are kinda stuck with click trackers when it comes to main content
Just like that, apparently. Some former staff members created a new tracker (not sure whether it got anywhere or still exists), but it was basically a spiritual sequel as no backup of the old database was available.
Yes, except FL gave everyone generous advance warning, and that fortunately allowed two trusted faces to show up and completely turn the situation around.looks likea simillar with what almoust happend with fl.ro this year

it smells like an inside job ,somebody has paid somebody to destroy the database by mistake .Just like that, apparently. yeah..i know..at first i taught ..ok so even fl is closing..that means only "winter is finally comming" when it comes to torrent trackers , they are done, strange enough without any new antipiracy law being enforced, after i saw the issues where fixed, won't close,i got my hopes again up,altough comparing with 2010 - 2015 only 20% of them are still up and runningYes, except FL gave everyone generous advance warning, and that fortunately allowed two trusted faces to show up and completely turn the situation around.
Not sure if it's only 20%, but I definitely agree there has been a net decrease in the amount of active trackers since those days (see https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?t=33773). Mind you, a few of those "losses" were so in name only.comparing with 2010 - 2015 only 20% of them are still up and running

)) is not so far fetched that somebody from antipiracy co to pay that guy 10k to"disappear" unlikely maybe, impossible no,in this day the most healthy and accurate to reality thinking is the "comspiracy" way of thinking see the pandemic wichwas immediately eradicated by putins war
in the torrents no also beside nameNot sure if it's only 20%, but I definitely agree there has been a net decrease in the amount of active trackers since those days (see https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?t=33773). Mind you, a few of those "losses" were so in name only
