BI is where the money is at. It's sad that I don't enjoy it as much as regular programming :( Sounds great tho! Happy for you :) Awesome opportunities !!

Never mind, project canceled Turns out there is no video output through the VGA port unless an OS and display drivers are set up, so I'd have to blindly install Windows, then take all sorts of measures to make it work as well as possible with the limited memory available, for the sake of having a "seedbox" I don't particularly need.
I may revisit the idea in the future, but for now it's not worth the time and effort.

Also, I wonder why Garfield hated Mondays so much when everything he did was eat, sleep and demean everyone else (perfect cat right there). What difference did the day of the week make?

I feel like days arent a thing when you're a cat, especially like garfield
I don't like it either. Well its not final. My new lead is actually pretty good. He knows my interest lies in security, micro services and devOps. So he is trying to put me into a different team which works on these things. All depends on a senior , if he leaves then big data it is and if he doesn't well spring boot micro services it is.. Lets c what happens.

hope that works out! money only goes so far; doing what you love should definitely be more important! (as long as you can pay your bills of course!)
i'm loving devops and stuff like micro services. Security is definitely not my thing tho and I keep pushing it on my colleague
Well it's mostly nice when you have your very own human slave, being a cat in the wild might not be as fun.
Cybersecurity is a lot like programming: if you're able to ask yourself the question "how could this go wrong?" and supply the answers, half the job is done. A very exciting field, but also a very active one where your work never truly ends. Who knows what exploit will surface tomorrow?

I've thought about adopting a kitty and was even encouraged to do so a few times by others, but I don't know how to take care of a pet, and I don't want another living being to suffer because of my incompetence. So, yeah...

Well I dont wish to leave my state. I my state there are very few opportunities for Big data. If it was hadoop i would've no problem. They're using mondarian with java 6. Current version is 15. Imagine that.
Well i can always shift to big data whenever i want. Learning is no issue for me. 😎 I love security. Its a bit hard n tricky but fun.
Btw what language are u using?
What do you use besides udemy? Any good alternatives?

I'm a C# / Angular full stack dev(ops) mostly using azure; I don't often do online courses. Instead I have a shit ton of hobby projects that I use to learn new things. I like building little useful tools where I try to incorporate something that I want to learn and screw around in it until I've got the hang of it. I mostly just read the documentation.
