    Any Hack/Crack of EagleGet ?

    @anon

hi, I use eagleget due to some reasons, new versions have become junk, due to ad, crypto mining and etc

old versions were better and i want to use them, all is ok,
but problem is chrome extensions of eagleget latest on chrome app store or old version in installation directory/folder of eagleget both not work (with old version of eagleget),

its mean i have to right click on any download link, and i have to wait for few seconds until eagleget capture the download file, or otherwise i have to go to the eagleget and need to add download link,

but with junk/latest version, extension work and when i right click on and download link, it show me "Download with Eagleget" like Internet Download Manager..

    Hi there,

EagleGet is a popular Chinese, Brazilian and Indian Download Manager. How do I know this? I am a Vuze/BiglyBT client maker and I install a whole bunch of a torrent clients to study them. I studied EagleGet to see whether it had a torrent client feature which it doesn't (checked the 2.1.6.50 version for Windows).

So here is what you can do: -
    1) Stick with latest crappy version and wait it out until a cracked versions is released publicly. In the mean time, you can search Chinese, Brazilian and Indian warez sites for the cracked version release.
    2) Switch to a different download manager. Here is a list of top 10 download managers for Windows 2020. https://beebom.com/best-download-managers-for-windows/

Concluding this, if you use EagleGet for some specific feature, UI, etc let us know here, so that someone can recommend the same to you.

Since you "mentioned" me in your post, I'll chime in to say I'd never even heard of this program before. The only download manager I use nowadays is the almighty jDownloader 2 (and wget if that counts).

If EagleGet has a clipboard monitoring feature, you could use right-click -> Copy Link Address as a workaround.

Aye Sir! I remember FlashGet and NetPumper as I tried using it with xmovies.(countless domains) to try and download their movies. However, they got smart over time and blocked the streaming videos download or just moved it to certain streaming services which didn't allow you to download videos just watch them online.

I also specifically remember using uGet to download from porn sites and then re-uploading them to Rapidgator, Depfile (got taken down because excessive of Child Porn shared through it), Keep2Share, Deposit Files and so forth. I use to do this back when I use to run a porn site and be a frequent porn uploader on BootyTape. Ah those were the days of paid link shortners (payment for every IP going through it) and paid cloud hosting solutions (referral system).

Now days, I lack the time to do what I used to do 5-6 years back. I guess if you learn how to value time, you will have enough. If you don?t value time, then you will suffer from the lack of time.

My my, you have been busy!

GetRight was my first. It came on a computer magazine CD and could resume stopped downloads. Back in the dial-up days, that alone made it extremely useful.

FlashGet could resume downloads and open multiple connections to download faster. The interface was also better. Newer versions added BitTorrent support and other bloat.

DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) could preview ZIP archives without downloading them. I didn't use that one for long.

NetPumper was required to download from a long-dead file host called Anti-Leech. The installer had some adware but you could remove it. A very interesting glitch caused it to use your real IP when a VPN was connected if the VPN's server was set as a proxy in the settings; to this day I don't understand why this happened, but I took advantage of it as a rudimentary form of split tunneling.

I hadn't heard of uGet and Depfile before, so thanks for the history lesson For what it's worth, I had accounts on Oxyshare and Badongo. If you look at the last decade, file hosting services have a high turnover rate: BillionUploads, Oron, Fileserve, Filesonic, Wupload, Duckload, Hotfile... well, life goes on.

I can assure you that those two concepts aren't mutually exclusive.

Long Answer: Have searched, no carck of latest version in various chinese forums/sites. and it's indeed made by Beijing Pu Tech, a chinese company. and according to those chinese forum, luminati module in latest version is suspected of spying, even those chinese users are opting for older version to avoid it.

Short Answer: abandon it. find alternative.

I think its due to Crypto Mining, iNewTab and other bundleware. ,so they are ignoring it,

its free program but with junk/bundleware.. i want working app without junk, i got old versions, and they are good, but chrome extension not working, as developers of eagleget are forcing us to download new version as extension only works with latest version,

i found on lot of forums utorrent is available by without bundleware or even cracked pro version, so i want that if i should get latest version without junk or otherwise chrome extension of eagleget should work with old version

old version are good, and this download manager is less buggy than others like dap, flashget, internet download accelerator..

why i am interesting in it, than I internet Download Manager,
i think even better alternative of IDM is Neat Download Manager which new one,

but i am still using eagleget , because it saves files in .eg extension,
if idm corrupt file at 99% your whole 15 or 20 gb file can be destroyed,
but with eagleget, if you are downloading with eagleget, if your pc shut down or any reason at 99% your download corrupt, eagleget will complete download 100%, means file will be 99%, but it stops at 100%, .eg file will be automaticall to original extension, if my download was video, you can see some freezing or shuttering in video player, but if file is available in torrents, you can force check with utorrent and complete by downloading remaining 1%, this is mostly useful for those who download files by seedbox http/https links or by cloudtorrent download sites like zbigz and etc

i tried IDA, DAP, but they were slow than eagleget, another one was orbit downloader which was very popular but i am not using it due to DDOS warnings by several antivirus companies especialy eset nod32.

Factors determining if a software has crack I guess consist of popularity and how easy to crack. newer version of EagleGet won't necessarily have a crack appearing.

Have you tried JDownloader, FDM and XDM (they're all free), given the needs you said? (and also ad-free version of Xunlei, the most popular downloader in china. EagleGet is basically a mimic of Xunlei. no way it could slower than EagleGet)

    XDM: https://subhra74.github.io/xdm/
    FDM: https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/
JD: https://beta.jdownloader.org/ uncheck bundled adware during the installation

Edit: Just tested it, forget about Xunlei, it doesn't have a non-chinese interface, not even prepare to be used by international users.

Shame, Chinese software engineering is usually very good when it doesn't include spyware.

I don't see why this is such a major highlight. All download managers can resume downloads. Even wget will continue from where it left off if there is a connection error, and can be made to do so manually with the -c switch (plus -O to specify the partial file, if necessary). The only caveat is that partial files may not be compatible across programs, especially if multiple connections were used as there is no standard on how to store each segment or keep track of their completion.

HeHeHunter used to offer a English-language version of Xunlei with spyware removed. No idea if it's still updated.

i think my thread title creating confusion among users, as this download manager is free so no crack possible,

i want a clean version of eagleget like utorrent (available here without junk),

old version of eagleget are good, i mean they are free from bundleware and crypto mining,

is this possible, we get clean latest version without bundleware/crypto mining (like utorrent), as new version will be bug free.. and with new features..

in simple world, "Repacked" version in this forum, or is there any tool to unpack and repack eagleget, if none here is interested to upload new repacked version in this forum

I'll look into it, but no promises, since I don't know exactly what I'll have to remove or which protection they use.

I stopped updating my leecher pack for BitComet (another Chinese program) since the amount of spyware was so big it took several hours to strip from the executable.

I think the term you're looking for here is Reverse Engineering or Decompiling and Recompiling.
    Code:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_engineering
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decompiler
    https://www.pcmag.com/encyclopedia/term/recompile
And yes, there are tools to do precisely this. Here is a link that can shed more light on the matter.
    Code:
    https://techbeacon.com/security/reverse-engineering-attacks-6-tools-your-team-needs-know
Note here: - @anon maybe using another tool for his clean uTorrent releases.

I have documented my toolz in the Clean uTorrent thread
