The card I use the most is a lowly Class 4. Since I use it as a toolbox and rarely copy files to it, this is not a problem. Read speeds are always good no matter what you use, so I think that for your usage case this approach will also work nicely
Well, they work pretty well before they stop working

Yeah fair enough; I haven't had time to take another look and I'm probably overthinking it anyway. Instead of splurging, I shld just try out the one I already have haha
I've gained a severe distrust towards usb keys. Granted I've never bought the high end expensive ones, but all of the ones I've gotten died within a year or two. I don't even use them that much!
Nowadays I just use my phone. It has plenty of storage anyway. I just wish the android data transfer wasn't so darn slow. MTP is garbage. Maybe I shld look into pushing files through adb instead or use SolidExplorer's ftp server (SE is great!)

Mine lasted a bit longer, but still broke eventually. Worst part is, there were no warning signs; one day they worked just fine, the next nothing happened when I plugged them in and that was the end.
Of all the USB sticks I've ever had, only a SanDisk Cruzer Fit still works... for now The tiny size, high capacity and low power consumption on that model makes it great for embedded systems and car stereos, by the way.
adb is okay, but bear in mind that...Nowadays I just use my phone. It has plenty of storage anyway. I just wish the android data transfer wasn't so darn slow. MTP is garbage. Maybe I shld look into pushing files through adb instead or use SolidExplorer's ftp server (SE is great!)
- it's a terminal application, so you'll need to know filenames in advance and type a lot (using some frontend, like those ADB plugins for Total Commander, will help greatly);
- push and pull only support one file at a time, no wildcards (ditto about frontends);
- pull requires an additional parameter to preserve timestamps, and push does not support that at all;
- transfer rate is conditional on free CPU (if you're compiling or transcoding something with all cores, you'll get around 10 KB/s).
FTP sounds good, just make sure it's well-secured (non-standard port, strong password, login attempt limit, turn it off when not in use).

Also, here's a picture for you to push or STOR
One of these you already know. The gray tabby at the top is Michi. He spends most of the day outside the house and lost one of his eyelids in a fight with another cat. Whenever I visit, he always rubs his head against me, but doesn't pay a lot of attention to me otherwise

I have like 40 of these stupid little projects I've made that no one is waiting for. It's a fun hobby and helps me learn new stuff.
Also; I wish I was a cat with some catnip bubbles.
Any idea why on my FF Quantum v68.0.1, I can't see twitter pictures on some forums and websites, but I can see them fine on Chrome?
