    Bohemian Rhapsody

Biopics usually sacrifice some details and accuracy for the sake of making an exciting movie, but I'm still highly looking forward to watching this one. Freddie was not only a genius rockstar, but also a very complex character.

this happens with every movie based on a 'true story'
another thing to be expected is a heavy dosage of hollywood lifestyle & politics propaganda

but I'm still highly looking forward to watching this one.
i'm not expecting much in this day and age when mediocre movie products are plaguing the industry
the main actor is usually quite wooden and awkward in his acting attempts
the director is experienced but mostly in very different genres and hasn't made much since, say 2006

Me neither. I very rarely watch new movies nowadays (one or two a year). But on occasion one of them really catches my eye as this one did, and who knows, it may even deliver.

Bohemian Rhapsody was considered an unlikely success at the time due to its length (six minutes, almost twice as long as the average radio hit). One DJ "accidentally" played it on air, and reaction was so positive others soon followed suit. I think there was also a shorter version...

It was a very personal song for Freddie, and as far as I know he never disclosed its "true" meaning.

guess this pretty much sums it up, bohemian life seen through bohemian eyes: life & art where they failed to find a deeper meaning, remaining as lost souls carried by whatever comes their way

Nice pic, and pretty accurate, when you consider some of the junk that passes as music nowadays... sometimes it seems that back in the day, talent, skill and good lyrics were a requirement, whereas today they're optional. There's still good stuff coming out, mind you, but it's hard to sort through the bad and find it.

Hahahahahaha, very good picture there too!

And also, I watched the film last monday, I have to tell you it was very very good. Very good lead acting and of course, the songs. A must watch for every Queen or Freddie Mercury fan. I rate it a 9 out of 10.
