I'm just trying to get onto source trackers. The trackers that source all the main content for all these other trackers. I don't wanna wait for the stuff to be raced or just have the popular stuff trickle down. I wanna be able to get my hands on the archive of these sites as a back up to Usenet. PTP, BTN and HDBits are the main sites that i want to get onto. The big dogs. PTP for the archive, BTN for the top TV groups and HDBits for the top TV and movie groups. I think that i can get PTP from AHD, but don't have the hardware to seed content long enough to get the HDBits class.
I actually used to have an account on both BTN and PTP, but they were deleted for inactivity. I stopped using Torrents and went full Usenet only years ago. I find that content is getting DMCA'd too often now and need torrent back ups.
You can recover your ptp account easily if its disabled for inactivity. idk about btn but you can try asking in their disabled irc channel.

As of a few weeks ago there is a new system in place for those who were disabled for inactivity: they can fill out a questionnaire and if there's no red flags on their account they'll have an option to be re-enabled via email. This process is much much faster than irc as it can be done asynchronously. 287 333 people have been assisted with this system in just the last 3 or so weeks since it went live. Log in to your inactive account and if you qualify you'll be shown details of how to proceed.
As for irc itself? I understand the wait time can be frustrating. You guys have lives and can't wait around 24/7. Completely understood. But by the same token, staff can't wait around 24/7 to assist the people who are only available for five minutes a day. The problem is that many people just idle there but don't respond to highlights or when we move them to a private channel to assist them. We've tried to help the vast majority of the people in that channel at least one or two times. Some a handful, some as many as 15 times. We endeavor to help everyone as quickly as we can, but it's hard to help someone if they're never there. And that part tends to get left out of the story.

Gazelle-based trackers don't delete accounts, and both sites have "one account per lifetime" policies. So I'd strongly recommend you try to get yours back, if only not to give staff a solid reason to ban you.
If PTP now has a better way to recover inactive ones, that's grand. Their disabled channel was a nightmare, and that's neither the staff's nor the users' fault, it just didn't scale well to having a few hundred people from all over the globe trying to get their account back.
