Life Lessons From 100-Year-Olds
-
what i noticed first is that none of them mentioned anything about spirituality, either it was cut out during the editing process, not a part of the questions asked or these people were not fortunate enough to experience such things during their life
another thing is some of them had regrets and some seemed not to, they concluded how they achieved what they wanted to in life, but this could also be interpreted as becoming aware that they cannot achieve anything else anymore as the years have caught up with them, so they settled with what they did achieve
they recognize the benefits of parental advice and that of a harmonious, happy marriage (ie. people maintaining their marriage, getting closer in the process)
their conclusions:
- independence as the rule, dependence as an exception in one's life
- help others as much as you can, as it will be repaid hundredfolds
- keep right on to the end of the road, meaning: endure your life and keep your integrity all the way
