Yeah, at the ending I was getting really scared that they were going to pump in the 10 blades into this movie. Luckily they kept that part for the next one.
Mhmm, that's what I meant with the eye to detail. Even the little not so important things in the anime can be discovered in the adaptation! It's just amazing.
At the same time, though, I feel like Kaoru was rather annoying in the anime as well. The only thing missing were the parts where she was actually sobbing, making it clear she wasn't a heartless bitch after all and just pretending to be fine with it. That's one of the few points that wasn't perfect.
The other one, that kind of bothered me, was that Shishio's rags were kind of leather-ey and rather thick. I never ever imagined them that way when watching through the anime.
Oh shit........ I didn't even realize it was Hiko.... That made the ending so much better.
I'm still amazed at the amount of detail and story they got in a mere 2 hour movie. When it comes to detail, it was easily on par with a movie like The Hobbit, but that movie had so little story per movie because of it. If this had the same amount of story, it would take 30 movies to make kenshin
