Thread: Recommend me ear buds

  1. #1

    Question Recommend me ear buds

Ok guys, so here's the deal. Money is somewhat tight at the moment and we require a new pair of ear buds.

    1. They have to be in ear
    2. they have to be small
    3. they can't look like shit
    4. they have to be comfy
    5. flat cables!!!! Knots are a bitch. This is the most important requirement.
    6. they can't fall apart in less than a month. we are careful with our stuff though and treat it with much care.

Basically, I was looking at skullcandy ink'd 2.0. Since they're cheap, I obviously know they're not high end sound but they are apparently comfy.
People keep saying they're shit and end up recommending something like a pair of klipsch. Obviously the skullcandies will be shit compared to klipsch, but they cost 13 times as much, so it's not a big surprise.

So anyway, what do you guys think? Stick with the candies, or do you guys have a better one?

We currently have a decent pair of on ear headphones and they're awesome for in the office, car, bus, you name it. However, they're a tad annoying for running around or when going out with the camera to get that perfect shot. Something smaller would be better in this case.

    I'm using the Creative EP-630 for years => http://www.amazon.de/Creative-Kopfh%...reative+in+ear

They're not expensive and the sound quality is very good for that price. The bass also. In over 8 years I had to buy only a second pair because a calbe broke.
For sports I prefer the all in one solution by Sony: http://www.amazon.de/Sony-NWZ-W273S-...rds=sony+sport

    I have these ==> Ink'd 2 Black w/Mic

For the past 2-3 years I went through headphones almost monthly. I tried everything from $5-$80 but one earbud would always stop working. I had these skillcandy headphones for a little more then 2 months with no problems so they get my seal of approval.

I see the creative buds around a lot. People really seem to like those. I really wish they had flat cables though. Perhaps I should just try harder to wrap 'm up nicely...

Do you have that sony pair? How do you feel about them? Are they a all in one solution only, or can you connect something else as well?

Those are exactly the ones I had my eyes on! I'm happy you like them :)
Reading through the posts on that page makes me sad, though ~.~

Whoa! What are the chances?!?! Lol.

There is one flaw that I should probably mention though. I'm not sure if its the headphones or my phone but at low volumes you hear static. This doesn't bother me though because I have my music pretty high.

It's most likely the buds. Lower quality usually means static. As long as there is none at normal volumes (I don't go really low on volume either), I don't really mind.

Yes, I'm using that device for jogging. It fits very good, it's waterproof and the sound is pretty nice. The negative point is the standalone aspect of this device. You have a single mp3-player without a display or other things. But it's perfect for sports with a lot of movements.

I had some Westone 4 but the cable has broken recently :-(. Sound is great. I will take new Westone W40 with adjustable cable.
    They cost around 450 Euro / 500 $.

    I. I just... No.
Even if I won the lottery I wouldn't buy those and would just get a 500 dollar pair of over-ears. Reviews about these things aren't even all that good, they look like shit and don't have flat cables.

Thanks for the troll though. Good enough for a small chuckle.

He's a respected and longstanding member here, so I'm inclined to think it's less trolling and more only skimming through the thread.

With that said, I wouldn't spend so much money either.

PS: I bought these for $3 last year, and the sound is great

ah ok money is tight, didn´read that. Think then about some Westone 1 (around 100 dollar). they are a lot better than some Ipod headphones. I tested Ultimate Ears (5pro) before they become Logitech. Good sound. For Shure i know that they are a bit too cold for me.

By the way. They dont look lik sh**. Its just professional headphones like they are used at stage. See list of Artists here: Westone Artist List For UE look here; Benutzer

    Kind regards

Headset Original HTC 39H00014-00M Max-300 schwarz rot HTC One Max

google "HTC MAX-300" or "HTC 339H00014-00M".

Just some days after posting this, the wiring near the jack cracked and I was left with just one side working

They lasted well over a year of daily use, though, and I've spent a lot more on brandless Chinese earphones that only worked for a few months.

Bought four more of these today, so I'm set until 2018.
