Serenity is a fantastic mod if you consider the uTorrent source is not available, whereas Vuze's is.

Well, yes. I'm not saying Serenity is bad. It's just... I feel safer with VEM. But Serenity developers does deserver some credits.

True. Vuze rapes my memory. At least, for some reason, my download speed with Vuze is slightly higher than uT, around 100kBps. Worths the memory.

Turn automatic bandwidth management off in uTorrent, repeat testing. That feature can use lots of extra overhead, quickly piling up in fast connections.

Of course, good settings also play a factor here.

Vuze for me is higher because i noticed that Vuze doesn't make a lot of upload until you finish downloading but UTorrent keep reduce the downloading speed to upload some data .. that's what i noticed .

Gonna try that. Although both my Vuze and uT are well configured, I don't remember turning that one option off.

watch for both they have different techniques for uploading and downloading .. for me vuze give the downloading the priority over uploading, but uT keep moving from downloading to uploading and vice versa .

I use mRatio + Memory reader to. But i only set my speeds to around 100 - 400 kb/s. So i guess i can go alot higher? And can i just take the .Torrent file without downloading the file and just start upploading it?

Well i do it like that. I take .torrent file (without downloading it for real) and put it in mRatio. I set up memory reader and let it run... Considering speeds it's your choice to try it. I always use few Mbits (1-4) there. Do not exaturate with faking no matter what speed you use... Be reasonable . I know people who just keep faking it until it gets few TB up and ~50 Gb down, and they rarely even use the tracker . Now that's not reasonable ^^.

Do you mean Serenity is mod from binary? I had always thought the developer had access to the source code!

No one has access to the source code. Serenity is just a fantastic work done by a very skilled person.
