I was bored tonight and ended up making this little app. It's meant to be used with a dark theme.

Known bugs:
The close buttons are disabled, but if you press Alt+F4, you won't be asked if you want to quit.
Special characters are eligible for conversion. Obviously, they aren't converted into anything, but ideally things like "it's" should turn to "iT's" and not "iT'S".

I have no particular ideas in my mind right now, I'd just like to expand on my general knowledge of the language so that if I ever need to automate task X and there's no program for it, I can code it myself. And of course, if I ever come up with a large-scale project, it can also be done.

after giving your post a second thought,
throw VB6 in the rubbish and work with VB.NET instead (now I prefer C# though) ,
it's more "complete" so you'll save plenty of time using already available functions instead of inventing everything on your own.

then if you decided to "move for better things",
you'll have to re-learn VB.NET(for example) since it's different in a lot of ways.

VB.NET is what got me into Visual Basic initially (and it has its nice set of features, exhaustive documentation), but waiting 10 seconds for the .NET Framework to load into memory for a small app is bleh.

For something large-scale I'll keep it in mind, since you for example made all your apps using that.
