What's the best solution on a Mac?

I recently swapped my PC for a Mac and installed Vuze Extreme mod.

The problem I'm having is that whenever I'm downloading torrents or even doing fake upload, my connection is unusable. Browser requests are constantly timing out and I need to shutdown Vuze in order to browse again.

I've looked into using Transmission but I can't get it to build in Xcode, I downloaded an old version from here but there are no fake upload options like there are with Vuze.

Do I start uploading again or is there a way to configure Vuze to stop this happening? Or even an alternative client?

    Cheers,

    SH

    Good settings - VuzeWiki

If your BT client stops the Internet, you're doing something wrong.

Sorry I've got no upload enabled, does it still matter?

    You didn't show us that

My suggestion is to try the setup wizard that appears the first time you run Azureus (although it can be invoked whenever you want) and let it apply the settings it thinks are the best for your connection speed.

Ran through the wizard and it still crawls.

I've decided to run torrents on my windows laptop instead.

disable encrypted connections and don't allocate the full files in advance
