It has been a hard year so far as gas prices have yet again raised up to $4.00 a gallon nationwide. Almost every household in the United States has an average of 2 cars for 2 drivers. Since cars are a basic necessity these days, you have to set aside at least $1,000 or maybe even more just for gasoline which was a whole lot cheaper on the previous years.
There are a lot of practical steps and ways to save fuel and to increase gas mileage – but you really have to be careful about the reliability of the product. So at times like these, it is very important to be practical, rather than spend on everything you see that might save you money.

When it comes to gas saving devices, like fuel-line magnets, retrofit gadgets, and air bleed devices, or even gasoline and oil additives that “supposedly” increase gas mileage for all types of vehicles, you have to be very wary about the several websites’ claim to these fuel efficiency technologies.

The best way to save money on fuel is to simply keep your car in excellent condition – with a fine tuned engine, you can expect better performance, and save up to 10 to 20 percent gas on each use. Poorly tuned engines, on the other hand, would have problems in the long run because it consumes more than 15 percent of fuel – that is money down the drain, right there.
Be a responsible and safe driver – being an aggressive driver only sucks up more fuel on your tank rather than getting from point A to point B at the normal cruising speed of 70mph. So the bottom line is, keep your car in perfect shape and you will expect it to cooperate with you.
