OK , I was wondering if there is any way to check if a torrent that shows it has 11 seeders has got actually 11 or maybe just 4 active seeeders ?
That would be quite helpfull with e-learning trackers but not only.

well, idon't know. But it often happens that I see a file has like 9 leechers and when I finished downloading i see that there are like say only 2 guys who are actually downloading somethig , the rest is just partial downloaders ;(
The thing is I wouldn't even bother downloading it if i knew there were going to be so few leechers.

Did you... click on the link I posted?

i think if you are behind a firewall you will not see all of the peers
You can "see" them... but they can't see you... and if another peer is firewalled you won't able to see him either.
The tracker's peerlist shouldn't be affected by this, however.

Don't you normally see the number of leechers in a torrent client.
For example, utorrent has a Peers and Seeds column.
Peers displays the number of peers you are connected to, and the number of peers in the swarm within the parentheses. The number of peers in the swarm is an estimate based on the maximum number of peers found either between the amounts reported by any tracker, or the number of peers µTorrent has encountered within its peer cache. If the torrent job is stopped, and bt.scrape_stopped is enabled, µTorrent will show the maximum number of peers in the swarm as reported by the tracker scrapes.Seeds displays the number of seeds you are connected to, and the number of seeds in the swarm within the parentheses. Let's just say relying on that value isn't a solution.
