    Get NOD32 (or any other fast antivirus) and increase Firefox's initial paint delay. That may reduce lag.

    Well I don't like NOD32 its of no use. I had used it before it doesn't protect my computer properly, I'm currently using KIS AV. I feel its the best AV at present available in the market.
