Increase your uTorrent disk cache size, close all other apps which may be constantly writing to the hard disk (video transcoders, etc.).

the antivirus program may also be the one causing too much hard drive activity (make an exception for your download folders and scan manually from time to time), other than that see these, though there are conflicting solutions:

    Code:

i had this problem quite a while ago but can't recall what was the exact solution, most likely something from or a combination of the above

Something odd happened....I'm trying to download form tracker A, but it goes on max speed for 10 mins or so and then just goes back to 10-20KB/s and all of the peers are seeders on 100%. Then i tried to down something form tracker B - downloaded it on max speed. The odd thing ist - when downloading form tracker A it throttels my whole connection when the speed in utorrent goes back down to 20KB/s. Ideas?

Too many connections is all I can think of...

So tracker A makes your whole connection to be 20kbs?
Is it my or does that sound exactly like traffic shaping?
I did not understand your initial post.

It's not shaping. I checked it out. That happens only when I try to download form tracker A, with B everything is ok. Also my LIVE TV box is connected to the router - it lags also.
