can you get banned in a tracker for getting banned elsewhere?

ok so I've heard people say both that it is a myth and that it isn't, so which of the two is it?

has anyone ever been banned in for example BG without actually doing anything bad if they were recently banned in UG or vice versa?

it doesn't really have to be sister-sites like BG and UG I just wonder if there are any sites at all that exchange banlists

I'd be willing to bet that such a thing happens or is bound to happen with trackers using gazelle, some time ago, all those trackers went down because they were using the same datacenter so it's obvious that they're sharing something, what's to stop them from sharing an IP list of known traders/sellers/cheaters?

but anyway that is just an assumption, are there any sites that are confirmed to be doing this?

A Google search for "connected trackers" or "trackers that share IPs" should give it to you.

Tracker staff have several forums where they hang out and share information about banned users. BTSSU, P2PG, the What.CD Celebrity forum, etc.
They're all connected in some way or another depending on how many staff members they have who follow those forums.
