For me definetly Vuze mod. Using it for many years now, even before I even knew about this site!
it's pretty a bad thing that authors don't write that their mods has major security errors and announce-faults and then people come to their threads and say thx etc i will try this at what.cd and then they go "wtf i'm banned??" that's was the reason i made Serenity mod pack in the first place ^_^I've had a bad experience with utorrent mods because they've caused me lose my account in my favorite tracker and it took me a lot of time to inside again.
I don't trust them!
also not sure about no upload at all, isn't that too evil to tracker users? but i understand some people would just stop torrent right after anyway and it's their needs
i used VEM once or twice to see what options it has so i grabbed ones i found usefull anyhow

sorry I have to relate to that even when it's offtopic
my connection is 1.5 Mbit down (getting 180 KB/s effective download speed) and 0.2 Mbit up (22.5 KB/s effective up speed)
when my upload is disabled, I can download a 700 MB movie in 66 minutes (and I usually get it at maximum speed in TL with all the peers).
when my upload is enabled, the download speed drops to 80-100 KB/s which gives me a 700 MB movie in 132 minutes, not to mention browsing the web is impossibly slow and other computers in my house connected to the router can't surf either.
and what did I ask for? a 700 MB movie?
I hope you see it different now.
I wouldn't have used it if I had decent upload speed which I can limit/control and still give effective upload.
I wasn't criticizing you, and I didn't mean what I said.
I know you're pretty knowledgeable and must have had a good reason not to upload.

A shame Vuze doesn't plan on implementing uTP anytime soon... otherwise that problem would be gone.

they say that utorrent will be soon on ubuntu !! very good news !
it will able to do more changes (open source)
i voted for serenity.
vem is a great piece of software, but it consumes a lot more system resources than serenity.
I will choose vem if I feel dangerous .Serenity is simple and awesome all the time.
