You're actually the only person I've seen with this kind of problem...

Most people lose free space when they're downloading instead

You're supposed to have enough space for the torrent before you begin downloading.

It's probably wise to leave some buffer room on your c: just for stuff like that

6GB should be okay in most cases. I just try to leave a bit more like 10+GB as the temp files sometimes get quite large. I sometimes got problems when it went under 10 that my C: filled up comlpetely when copying files etc (it seemed to use the c: drive's temp folder for that ). So leaving a large enough buffer on your c: ensures you that you'll never notice it filling up and going down again

By filling up do you mean same as going down in a way that you got no space left. Also would anons methods in regards to paging file help, or would i need to free up more space on the c drive, ive tried to free some space on c drive, but i havent got any big files on that drive, which does not give me more than 6gb free space, even though my total size for c drive is 28gb.

My recommendation: set both values to 2.5 times your amount of RAM installed, and reboot. See if that makes a difference. An screenshot of your uTorrent disk cache settings would also be nice.

As instab sed u need to give ur settings otherwise we will be just guessing.
If ur afraid of revealing ur stats and download list block them out

And when u say the space increases when seeding, are u also downloading at the same time?
And do u place ur downloads in C:\
Do u have any other software that wrties to ur hd when usng ut?
dont ban me just spank me
