If I can be bothered to encode on my machine i will try to use the best qual no matter the time, because on a good machine it wontt be really much anyway). However, if on a really old machine I would just dl it lol. It mght take anon' machine a week to do hi 2pass qual encode - forget it, downloading is way faster

okay if he wants better quality for smaller size it's definitely x264
try these:
mencoder, ffmpeg (look for a frontend aka GUI)
