    hehe, sure, whatever you like.
one has to make a difference between personal taste and objective statements.

for the record there is no leopard-x. either leopard or osx. leopard is osx version 10.5.

    Windows.

I learned it from a child, so I am "Windows children" I tried Ubuntu many, many times, but always has been the thing that did not work Of course I can learn this, but I respect my time On Windows I am as fish in water. Something else: on windows I have my favorite apps. I use them for years. On GNU/Linux all is new

I left Ubuntu (1 year of use aprox.)

    Now Windows 7

Reasons: I need some software in my laptop like MS Project and AutoCad..., I'm too lazy to use wine or stuff like that at the moment

it's quite funny how a lot of people in this thread are badmouthing windows and then apparently use xp, which is a 10 year old OS ... My opinion about 7 is a lot better than XP, tbh. Maybe it's time to upgrade guys

Or maybe even windows 8 leaked builds. The 7989 x64 recently leaked build behaved really nice on my laptop.

I passed one of the leaked ISOs to a friend of mine via FTP. He said he'd try it this weekend and let me know. I never got around running it myself, is it good?

If he's not into testing stuff like I am it's practically Windows 7 SP2 with a new nice and minimalistic theme. They didn't add the new interface (awful lolz) thus memory consumption was the same for me and everything worked nice including the nvidia windows 7 x64 driver.
(I know windows 7/8 comes with all the drivers but I wanted the latest and the greatest)
Unless he's installing windows every month or so I'd suggest staying away from these leaked builds because more will come and he will have an outdated system.

Yeah, he's into testing this stuff, somewhat. I'll tell him that, thank you.

It's good that you installed nVidia's drivers, they're better than the ones bundled with Windows, specially the video ones.
